The League of Gentlemen is a British comedy television series that premiered on BBC Two in 1999. The show is set in Royston Vasey, a fictional town in Northern England based on Bacup, Lancashire. It follows the lives of dozens of bizarre townspeople, most of whom are played by three of the show's four writers—Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, and Reece Shearsmith—who, along with Jeremy Dyson, formed the League of Gentlemen comedy troupe in 1995. The Red-Headed League is an episode of the Sherlock Holmes television adaptations of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories, produced by British television company Granada Television between 1984 and 1994. The episode was first broadcast on the ITV network in the UK in 1985, and starred Jeremy Brett as the famous detective. It was the fifth of six episodes aired in the series' second season, and the twelfth of the shows overall.
Fantasy Football League is a British television programme hosted by Frank Skinner and David Baddiel. The programme began on BBC Radio 5 and was hosted by Dominik Diamond before transferring to BBC2, with three series being broadcast from January 1994 to May 1996. The show then moved to ITV for live specials on alternate nights throughout 1998 World Cup and then again through the 2004 European Championship. It is not known if the show is ever likely to return. In its absence, Baddiel and Skinner instead went on to produce a series of podcasts for The Times, documenting their experiences while travelling across Germany at the 2006 World Cup. The success of these led to the duo being signed by Absolute Radio, where they hosted a similar show from South Africa during the 2010 World Cup.

Mutant League was an animated series based on the videogames Mutant League Football and Mutant League Hockey which aired from 2 July 1994 to 24 February 1996. The show ran for two seasons, with the second typically incorporating more poignant stories and issues, while the first seemed somewhat hodgepodge with little regard for continuity. There are forty episodes in all, thirteen in Season 1 and twenty-seven in Season 2.
Indoor League is a television series broadcast in the United Kingdom by Yorkshire Television during the 1970s. It was hosted by England cricketer Fred Trueman who often wore a cardigan whilst smoking a pipe throughout his links. He always ended the show with the phrase, "ah'll see thee". The show featured many indoor games, the majority of which were pub games. The sports included Table football, Shove ha'penny, Bar billiards, pool, skittles and arm wrestling amongst others. The show was produced by Sid Waddell, whose major success was to include a darts tournament. Darts coverage on television was in its infancy, with the News of the World Darts Championship having just begun to be broadcast on ITV. Waddell would later go on to become one of the voices of darts on television when the World Championship began in 1978.

Regan does the bulk of the writing, while Rickenbach directs most of the series. It is produced by the duo along with stars Jim Burns and Jim McCabe, and is Executive Produced by George Stulak. The League has a low-budget aesthetic that works perfectly with its tongue-in-cheek tone. It is filmed in Wilmington, DE, and West Chester, PA. The series chronicles the everyday lives of Hitmen - Todd Britches and Gary Goldman- Think The Odd Couple meets Pulp Fiction. Episodes often feature a dark figure in silhouette known as "The Boss," giving the League their "assignments." In season two, the mysterious Anastasia/Claire goes from trying to "eliminate" The League, to joining their forces. The first two seasons of The League, are heavily influenced by "The Ring of Domination," or R.O.D. Ring. The ring makes its first appearance in episode 3. It has been revealed that ring is some sort of "key." As of season two's "The R.E.D. Folder Part 2," The B.O.S.S., Mother RUSSIA, and R.O.S.S all have possession of one ring each. There is a fourth ring that each of them is willing to kill for. The whereabouts of this ring have yet to be divulged.

Action League Now! is a stop motion children's television series that was originally part of All That and then KaBlam! on Nickelodeon, and was later spun off into its own short-lived show. It was made using "chuckimation". The series follows the adventures of a superhero league, composed of various action figures, toys, and dolls. The show was created by Tim Hill. Most episodes took place in a house of an unseen resident. Many of the characters were voiced by radio personalities from Pittsburgh.
